Balthasar Ress' Hattenheimer Schutzenhaus is a wonderfully balanced and mouthwatering Riesling with great finesse.
Aromas of mineral (notably slate) lemon drops and honeysuckle with, apricot jelly and marmalade with earthy undertones. It is undeniably complex - expect layers of peach, green apple and wild honey with a racy marmalade finish. It has fantastic persistence and its residual sweetness is cleansed by brisk acidity.
